ALL WE NEED IS LOVE
Snow-skiffed sidewalks dim as dusk settles into winter’s night. Streetlights blink on. The faint fragrance of three tall, pink roses beside my computer tease my eyes off the screen to honour their beauty. Susan has left for the day. Quietly savouring Don Miguel Ruiz’s The Mastery of Love, I found this gem tucked into the weave of his elegant thinking:
“The whole world can love you, but that love will not make you happy. What will make you happy is the love coming out of you. That is the love that will make the difference, not the love everyone has for you.”
“Can you imagine what kind of world this would be if all humans opened their hearts and found love inside? Of course, we can do it. Everyone can do it in his own way. It’s not about following any imposed idea; it’s about finding yourself and expressing yourself in your own particular way. That’s why life is an art.”
This week swirling into all the Valentine’s hype and frufru (and sometimes vast emptiness) allow yourself to feel love. Be love. Flow the enormous love you hold, love which is your very essence, to everyone in your life. Including yourself.
Sending you my love,
Nancy
Love to hear your thoughts.
